    Story

We're fighting food poverty across the UK

Throughout the current pandemic, I have been doing my bit to help the NHS by delivering free meals to hospitals across Margate, Canterbury and Ashford. I've partnered with Open Kitchens to help even more people in the community who need support through these difficult times.

Every day in our community there are parents unable to feed their children, elderly people living in fear, wondering where their next meal is coming from, the homeless unable to access food or shelter and the vulnerable unable to care for themselves without anyone able to go in and support them.

Covid-19 caused our industry to collapse, preventing us from opening for months, but we're fighting back by volunteering our time and kitchen to cook meals for those in need across our community.

We're not alone either, there are many kitchens across the UK working for free to feed their community as part of the Open Kitchens initiative. You can show your support by visiting the Open Kitchens website and help spread the word by following Open Kitchens on Facebook , Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, your kindness and generosity is making a huge difference to many people in our community every day!

We can't wait to see you again on the other side, but for now, and more than ever we need to come together, so please dig deep and donate to help feed those in need.

    With love,

    Canterbury Curry Club

A lovely pic from last week's pick up. I love working alongside the fantastic guys at Fareshare Kent - who come and collect the meals I make. Last week I cooked many more veggie delights for needy people. Please keep donating so I can continue cooking for as many people as possible 🙏

A pic from week 2 of our meals for Open Kitchens 🍛 The key word is nutrition: delicious aromatic couscous and saag aloo palak cooked and being picked up for many hungry people 💪 We still need so much help to reach our target so please do keep donating on this page! Thank you 🙏

The first meals have left our kitchen! 🍛 Founded by Paul Babra, Canterbury Curry Club have been uniting the community through good food since 2001. Since the start of the pandemic, we have been helping to feed frontline workers and the vulnerable across the South East 👏 By teaming up with Open Kitchens, we will be able to continue to #FeedThoseInNeed.
