Mike Ward is what some might call a local hero for Saddleworth Cricket Club, The bar, The pitch, social events you name it mike does it all down at the cricket club, but a few weeks ago mike sadly felt poorly while working at the club, It was soon to be discovered he had a problem with his heart and had to stay in for a number of weeks before his operation, this is a tough time for mike and his family and Mike has always been active in and around the cricket club and not used to being stuck inside. While Mike has been in hospital everyone down at the cricket club has realised how much, he really does for this Club and the amount of work he puts in. With Mike falling ill and being in hospital as a Club we wanted to raise some funds to give him and his family a nice treat for them to look forward to on his return from hospital. To show him what a legend he is and how much we appreciate the lifetime of devotion he has given to us as a club. Mike started his road to recovery shortly before this was posted, we hope we can raise as much money as possible to help in our cause to show him our respect and loyalty to him and his family. But most importantly so we have him down at the club again very soon.
