Story

There are many more people heading out to the hills and mountains now and this is a very good thing but there is a lack of understanding of the dangers and the quick changes that can happen up there and this is putting a lot of pressure on the mountain rescue teams.

They are all volunteers that give their time to come out and help those in distress, and many people don’t understand the dangers that they put themselves in doing so.

Running a mountain rescue team/organisation is very expensive and all funds are kind donations given by the public. I would love to give my time to a team and give something back to the mountains that I enjoy so much but unfortunately am not in the position to do so yet, so this is my way of saying thanks to those that do give up their time.

I will be running the Cambrian way 298miles from South to North Wales and 74000 feet of accent over most the mountains of wales passing through many of the areas that I will be raising money for, with a group of friends helping me on my way to hopefully set a record, starting at Cardiff Castle on the 10th July and finishing in Conway on the 15th July 5 days of running none stop.
