    Story

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

My name is Caitlin and I am a current third year under-graduate studying Sports Business Management at Sheffield Hallam University. In July 2018, I will be partaking in a volunteer expedition to Fiji as apart of the Think Pacific program (charity number:1162190).

Although Fiji is a safe and wonderful country that is filled with welcoming people, many children grow up in a world of limited education, basic knowledge and a severe lack of opportunities. Just 5% of children gain an early years education due to the basic facilities and poor condition of schools. At present, 75% of children in Fiji live below the poverty line with only 50% of all children having access to adequate sanitation and fresh, clean water.

As a TP volunteer, i will be involved in teaching kindergarten and primary school children Maths and English and coaching many sports in order to provide more opportunities to Fijian children. All of the money raised will help towards funding this life changing opportunity for so many children.

As a whole, Think Pacific works hard to:

    - Increase standards in education, extracurricular activities and sports.

    - Replenish school resources

    - Provide teacher training

    - Help to rebuild essential facilities

Think Pacific is an amazing charity that encourage volunteers to lead education, extracurricular and sports for over 200,000 children each year!! I am beyond excited to be apart of the amazing work that they do and do greatly appreciate any of your kind donations.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my page!

I ran the Sheffield Half Marathon on 8th April in a time of 2:12!! It was definitely one of the hardest things I’ve done but it was amazing to know that all my training paid off ☺️☺️ Thank you to everyone who donated ❤️❤️
