The Friends of Burnham Market Primary School (FOBS) are currently raising funds for a much needed new building at the school.

The building will allow staff to carry out learning in small groups and provide some valuable nurture time for the children. The new building will be surrounded by a sensory garden which will be full of wonderful smelling herbs and flowers.

FOBS hope to make the pathways and garden area brightly coloured, creating a fantastic environment for the children to enjoy as they approach the building.

At Burnham Market Primary School we have a significant number of children with special educational needs who need to have some quality time out of the classroom, either to learn in smaller groups, or to have some nurture time.

We reached out to Building Norfolk to help in delivering the much needed Nurture Room and to support the wellbeing of our students with special educational needs. The staff have done a wonderful job in using their creativity to make provision in the existing building, however with an increasing number of students requiring support there is an opportunity to create something special that will have a lasting impact on the children in this community.

Whilst the school PTA have worked tirelessly to fundraise for this project, COVID-19 has prevented them, like many other community groups, from holding the many events that help them to raise the much needed funds. This project is still requiring additional funds to make it a reality, so your help and support is much appreciated. Thank you.
