I've raised £10000 to Get Burnham -on-Crouch Carnival up and running for this year.

The Burnham-On-Crouch Carnival has been taking place in one form or another since the late 1800’s but 2023 may see a scaled down version or no carnival at all if the committee cant raise enough money to host the event.
Chairman of the Carnival committee Terry Martin said: “People don’t realise how much we have to spend to get the day up and running, road closures and security alone cost us over £3000 and although many local acts support the event and perform for free, some of the big performers come from outside of the local area, so of course we have to pay them - then there is insurance to pay , the list goes on and it’s a very long list. We estimate to secure the event we need to raise around £20,000 this year”.
