Weʼve raised £3,223 to donate a piece of equipment to The Willow Suite - New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton in memory of our boy.

    Story

Sunday 23rd February 2020 our baby boy was born into the world sleeping at 37 weeks.

Saturday 22nd February we walked into New Cross Hospital knowing we would be leaving on our own - without our baby in a carrier, without posting the "we're coming home" photo and without the excitement to introduce our little one.

Sunday 23rd February at 3:01am our baby boy was born weighing 7lbs 10oz - our little chunk. The staff that cared for us, and our baby, during our stay were absolutely amazing - we both could not thank them enough. (In particular Meng, Debbie, Racheal and Carole.)

For this, we would like to give something back and, most importantly, help other families going through such a traumatic time by allowing them to be as comfortable as possible. We would like to donate either a piece of equipment or new TV's for the 2 suites, along with setting up a Children's Box for those with little one's visiting. The children's box will have pencils, stickers and Memorial Cards to decorate and take home or leave on the Remembrance Tree in the Suite.

This is a truly horrible experience for expectant parents and their families. If we are able to bring as little as a smile to anybody coping with difficulty throughout or following the loss of a child we will be comforted to know that our son played his part and it was not for no reason. Any donations to make this happen are greatly appreciated.

We've been in touch with New Cross Hospital and the decision has been made to give our donations of new TV's and Staff Room Facilities in January - so not to get lost in their Christmas releases. Covid-19 has really taken over plans we had made for this year but luckily has not set us back with our fundraising. With Offline donations we've raised close to £4,000 and been able to provide care packages, gifts and financial support to families across the UK since June 2020. We are looking forward to our plans for 2021. Thanks everyone xx

We’ve been in touch with our Bereavement Midwife from New Cross Hospital to start planning getting our donations in and upgrading the Suites facilities. Covid-19 has really delayed our plans but it has allowed us to carry on fundraising which is fantastic 💜
