Launched in 2013, The Bristol Metropolitan Academy Basketball Program was set up to improve the education, achievements and opportunities of the South West’s potential basketball stars of the future. Many of our pupils come from low social economic and personally challenging backgrounds so our role in their lives is vital in providing a safe, supportive and structured environment for them to achieve their potential. Our U14 team are the current Basketball England National Champions and we have achieved unparalleled results at numerous local, regional and national tournaments whilst developing students with individual honours representing their county, region and country.

In February 2019 we would like to take the current Bristol Metropolitan Academy Basketball Program pupils to San Francisco for a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience. The trip will include US coaching clinics, socio-cultural events, games vs US opposition as well as tours and goal setting sessions with educational welfare officers from US Colleges. For most of the pupils, this will be their only opportunity in securing onward programs or places at US basketball establishments so the trip will serve as a platform for their future sporting lives.

We are looking to the business community to support our efforts through sponsorship, donations and contributions. This can include funding an individual pupil / player, backing the trip as a headline sponsor or simply paying for your company logo to be included on the team kit! All donations are welcome and we are open to discussing what options best suit your budget.
