I've raised £1000 to support travel costs for many Destitute Asylum Seekers in Bristol.

A group of walkers are appealing for donations to towards the Bristol City of Sanctuary Transport Fund. They will walk from City centre to Patchway Police Centre on Saturday 26th January in solidarity with destitute sanctuary seekers who regularly walk this 6 miles distance.
Donations will go towards the Bristol City of Sanctuary Transport Fund- a community initiative to provide bus tickets for destitute sanctuary seekers and vulnerable refugees (especially women) in Bristol.
Destitute sanctuary seekers have lost all their housing and financial support. They are not allowed to work and cannot return to the country they fled.
Bristol is a big city, and many of the important services for refugees are located centrally.
The provision of bus tickets is an invaluable way of helping those seeking sanctuary in Bristol to reach essential services, such as drop-in sessions, where they can access free advice and support and receive hot meals.
Supporting the Fund
All of us have the opportunity to change the day-to-day lives of people seeking sanctuary in Bristol in a real practical way. We welcome donations of any size from individuals, businesses and community groups. 100% of your contribution will go towards bus tickets.
