Iʼve raised £20,416 to bring home my beautiful sister Kishori, who passed away suddenly in Colombia due to an allergic reaction
- Funded on Sunday, 18th September 2016

Story
As some of you may know, my beautiful sister, Kishori, passed away suddenly while travelling in Colombia due to a severe allergic reaction. However, as many of you may not know- it is a VERY long and expensive process to get her home and sadly (incredibly annoyingly) she had no travel insurance which would have hopefully covered this part of the expense.
Kishori was a 21 year old girl at the prime of her life. She has spent her past year all over the world, skiing in Grenoble and partying in Valencia. She was travelling in South America as a final hurrah on her year abroad before returning to University in Nottingham in September. She spent the final two weeks of her life taking on Colombia single handedly, bungee jumping and paragliding (despite her fear of heights) and was literally having the time of her life. Although our pain is indescribable, it is important, and comforting to know that Kishori would have changed nothing about the past year of her life.
But, it's now time for her to come home. We are already lobbying the Colombian government to release her body, but unfortunately there is also a great deal of expense that needs to be covered even before she is back on home soil. My Dad and I have decided to set up this page to ask for any donation, however small, to help relieve the burden of the costs of bringing Kishori home. Every little helps (literally) and we are already very grateful for the love, support and kindness so many have offered.
Although our target is incredibly high, this is the total cost of getting her home, so we thought we might as well aim high and see what we can achieve. However, ALL help is HUGELY appreciated and even if we raise only a fraction of this amount we will be delighted and immensely grateful as it will certainly help reduce the burden of the costs on my family.
Thank you!!! Anmika (Kishori's big sister)
