My son, Enis, who is only 20 months old is currently fighting for his life in a hospital in Turkey. On 11-April-2017 he drowned in the pool at my family's home. He was trransferred to one hospital via ambulance where we were then told there was no available space in the intensive care unit. My baby was then flown by helicopter to a hospital in Isparta, Turkey. His heart stopped twice during the jjourney and it took around six hours for Enis's condition to be properly assessed.
My son quickly slipped in to a coma and was pronounced brain dead on 12-April-2017. However, just one day later my little superhero has slight improvements and brainwaves were present on his EEG scan! So all hope was not lost.
Enis's organs are thankfully all clear and he is now able to breathe unaided for short periods of time.
The money that we hope to raise is to help pay for Enis to be transferred by air ambulance home to the UK. As we are both dual citizens Turkish-English, our insurance doesn't cover such expenses.
Our hope is to get our baby home so that he can receive the medical care, treatments and medication he deserves. Thank you.
