Story
**Thank you for helping us achieve this so soon** All additional funds beyond the £12,000 will be donated to the "Bridgnorth Youth Forum" for distribution amongst all local youth groups and clubs in the town.
Our local Youth Club on Innage Lane offers social engagement and emotional wellbeing activities for two different age cohorts (10-13; and 14-16) at its purpose built site on Innage Lane.
The club runs “open sessions” (free to anyone) twice per week, plus extra activities, trips and events during school holidays. This had previously been funded by Shropshire Council via a tender to contract qualified youth workers.
Due to budget cuts, Shropshire now seeks to close the club in order to focus on “at risk” children (gangs, in care) instead.
We are seeking to fund a 12 month contract to continue delivery from April 2021-2022. Bridgnorth Town Council have committed £7,500 match funding but cannot cover the full cost. So to secure the club’s future we need to raise the missing £12,000 with your help! Every bit helps.
Due to Covid, our young people have spent the last 12 months in lockdown and will need emotional support to help them reintegrate into social settings. emerging from lockdown, the role of the youth club is more important than ever.

4 years agoThank you everyone! We did it! A Fantastic result for our young people. We can now save the youth club. I will amend the initial post shortly to suggest how any surplus funds could be allocated via the Bridgnorth Youth Forum (Council agreed to invite all youth groups in Bridgnorth round the table to share funds and cooperate). Then it can be shared amongst all groups. Thank you again for your support.

Thanks so much Julia for organising this; it’s a huge achievement and sadly very necessary because of lack of funding provision
