As most of you know, Tom had an accident back in 2007. Since then he has been wheelchair bound and requires full-time care. Tom enjoys having fun and leads a very busy life. But, he cannot live this lifestyle without a wheelchair, adapted vehicle. He wouldn't be able to go to college, attend his medical appointments, go to the cinema, visit family or of course, meet his friends!

His current van is on its last legs so I have decided to take part in the Devil Mud Run on Sunday 18 September to try and raise some funds to contribute to the purchase of a new vehicle.

The Devil Mud Run is a hardcore, 8 kilometre course featuring over 31 obstacles where you run across open, rugged countryside and through woods with plenty of mud, ice and water thrown in! I am running with my eldest Alex and I am relying on him to help get me round!

I know we get asked for money all the time these days and there are some brilliant charities out there but if you would like to donate to a real person and know exactly what your money will be used for, Tom, Alex and myself would be very grateful of any contribution you can make, however big or small.
