I've raised £2800 to Fund The NHS & Dukinfield Youth Grassroots Football

Under 8’s Dribble-a-Thon Keep Active 1000 Mile Challenge
The Challenge!!
The Club hopes that everyone is keeping safe, fit and well, ready for a return to football, (whenever that may be!!). This Challenge is designed to keep us active and work as ONE BIG TEAM to achieve our goal.
This Challenge will be an opportunity for all Under 8’s players to come together with the help of their families to raise money for the NHS and Grassroots Football.
We believe at Dukinfield Youth, that thanks to the social distancing we have all been part of and the work of our amazing NHS, we will get through these troubling times, and return to our fantastic Club and the beautiful game we all love.
So, during our daily exercise routine, whether we are in the garden or going for a walk with our families, we take a football with us and simply dribble and control it at our feet.
Rules
· Social Distancing must be observed at all times during this challenge – NO compromise on safety.
· Each participant must cover at least 1 mile a day for us to achieve our Team Goal.
· Challenge must be complete WITHIN 30 days!
· Parents/Carers to assist their child to record the daily mileage and report the figures once a week.
· Target for Players & Under 8’s Coaches is a collective 1000 miles!! Tough, but achievable!
What’s in it for me!
We are really hoping that everyone in the under 8’s teams in the Club, gets involved. We feel that it is a really good cause that everyone will benefit from and something to be proud of at this historic time.
Everyone involved should have a sense of achievement and all players will receive a ‘Certificate’ signed by their respective manager to acknowledge their contribution. Something to commemorate and reflect upon.
As we can’t physically be together, we can come together as a team in another sense to achieve our Goal!!
Finally, please try to remember how our children will reflect about these times. Be in control of the memories they are creating right now, so that through all the awful headlines and emotional stories that they will come to read in future years, they can remember the happy times.
Many Thanks For Your Support.
