    Story

Friends of Bratton together with Exmoor Associates have now made a formal offer to buy Bratton Fleming station (currently known as ‘Long Acre’) and the associated track-bed including the goods yard. We have now reached our target amount on this site, and the JustGiving fund will close. Many thanks to all who helped!

Update on FoB fund. The exciting news today is that, with all the extra effort people have put in over the last few weeks, the Fund has now reached the agreed price for the Station and grounds! (Subject to one large donation that has yet to reach the FoB accounts.) We do need a little more to cover the costs of the septic tank. Please carry on adding to JustGiving or sending direct amounts via the bank transfer form, to help cover this cost. The JustGiving fund will not have its target increased again and will expire after that target is met.

Update on funding. Assuming all pledges are honoured, we now only have a gap of around £20,000 in the drive for the purchase price. However, it seems there will be expenses related to fixing issues with the septic tank and other legal and tax fees. Se we do want to keep on fundraising to raise enough to deal with these. As usual, we're splitting this stage of the fund drive between bank transfers and JustGiving so, for now, the JustGiving target will go up to £25,000, but may increase once we know how much the 'extras' will cost!

Best of luck with the purchase of the Station. It's not a lot, but every little helps I hope to return trains to this iconic location.

Help me close the final gap, everyone! I've just dug up a bit more. I'm sure L&B can use every penny.

I think this money should cover the amount of beer that I said "I would buy for people who I contacted to donate to this fund"

It would be a disaster if the L&B was unable to purchase BF and couldn't fully restore the railway, I hope you succeed!
