Two years ago i decided to get into shape. Thanks to 'Brixton Street Gym' I have been inspired to loose over 2 stone and i have seen many others do the same. They have also helped me train for and win a white collar boxing fight. This has been invaluable process for me. For this, i want to try and raise money for something they need and really dseserve. (A boxing ring)

The gym is an amazing one of a kind community hub , full of super talented inspiring people especially in boxing and martial arts. As well as being a great community gym it offers a safe haven for young kids that would otherwise have nothing to do, keeping kids off the street, out of gangs and fit, both mentally and physically.

They have minimal equipment and resources but never complain.Anything they do have they have made themselves or have been donated. They will currently make boxing rings out of road cones or jumpers and come rain , snow or sun they will be training inside and out!!

I really want to give something back and one thing I really think the place needs and truly deserves is a proper Boxing ring! It will motivate the members and the community of all ages and generate opportunity for the gym a its staff to offer extra services , classes and clubs.

Over the last few years there has been various interest from several brands to provide something like this but nothing has amounted to anything.

Inside the gym is too small for a ring but the gym has a large outdoor space. So In true 'Brixton Street Gym' style I want to raise money so they can have their own 'outdoor' boxing ring with an all weather cover.

It will be the first of its kind for the UK and hopefully generate lots of new publicity and interest.

If we can make it happen it would be the best christmas gift to the local community and all the people of brixton street gym that work so hard!

Costing:

A branded boxing ring will cost us approx £3600 , An all weather cover will cost approx £2500 and the remaining cost will be for installation / labour.
