Story
As university lecturers we started visiting adult learners in prison settings last year and running philosophy sessions with them. We found their appetitie and ability for philosophy incredible! But, despite the best intentions of on-site librarians and staff they lack books on philosophy and decent notebooks to write down their own ideas.
We decided to walk the whole of Hadrian's Wall this summer (west-east) to raise funds for books for prisons. We will document the trip and have special readings of the original pieces of writing from the adult learners along the route!

5 years agoThank you all SO much! We did it. Finished the coast to coast in East Coast Tynemouth (started in Bowness on Solway - West Coast). Exhausted but so grateful to everybody who donated. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Back home to Liverpool tomorrow. Time to put those feet up and rest. Thank you all. You really helped us through the tough times!
