Story
Hi everyone and thank you for visiting our Just Giving Page. I am proud to host this fundraising event every year as it means so much to our community. This year we will be fundraising for 2 organisations close to our hearts in many ways.
I started the Guild Wheel Walk in 2017 for our friends family who needed our support then the year later we went on to fundraise for all our local charities in our community nearly reaching up to £20,000 throughout these years.
The reason I have chosen these important organisations this year is after having devastating news in September last year of the tragic loss of our good friend Keenan Arya to Epilepsy. Keenan was a kind-hearted and fun loving son to our good friends Gareth and Tracy, a brother to Olivia and best friends with all his close pals who truly miss him. He lived life with joy and enthusiasm with a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Our friends are finding it difficult with coping with his loss as they try and discover the meaning and purpose in there lives.
In Keenan's honour the family would like to bring everyone together with different organised events and this is why the Guild Wheel Walk is dedicated to Keenan. Tracy (mother to Keenan) said her goal is to climb a mountain, but first lets get her round the wheel with the help and support of our community.
Also, our local hospice is close to all our hearts with the dedication to look after our families and friends through the worst times in our lives with great losses throughout the years.
Hospice care is for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure. There specialised care is here to help people enjoy the best quality of life, to end of life. There values are caring, compassionate and committed. So this is also dedicated to all of our loved ones who we have sadly lost over the years.
We appreciate your generous support and donation, your contributions to both of these organisations will help massively so help support future lives. Thank you for taking the time to read why we do such an event.
