Iʼve raised £17,777 to Build of the Bomber County Gateway Landmark! Please help pay for the 92,000 kilos of steel in the sculpture at just £1 per kilo.

Story
We've now raised sufficient funds to complete the design work and start the foundations. We still need funds for the steel in the Lancaster itself so this can be constructed by craftsmen of the RAF and local volunteers.

Thanks to all those who donated, we will have completed foundation designs by the end of August and will start work installing foundations in September. We now need to raise funds for the actual steel airframe. It weighs 92,000 kilos so lets see if we can raise £1 per kilo and get it built!

Donating in memory of my Great Uncle Sidney who flew 49 missions with Bomber Command and was awarded the DFM and DFC. Sadly killed in an accident on a training flight. Never forgotten.
