Story

🇳🇬 We're aiming to raise £3,000 to give the Nigeria Women's Rugby League team the best possible chance at the 2025 World Series. This is a crucial step towards qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in Australia & Papua New Guinea – a historic first for the team! The winner of the World Series secures the final spot in the World Cup.

How Your Donation Will Be Used:

- Player Recruitment (Australia): A significant portion of the funds will support Head Coach Bolu Fagborun's trip to Australia to recruit talented players, raising the profile of Nigerian Rugby League.

- Building Partnerships: Connecting with NRL and NRLW teams, as well as the Australian business community, to secure vital support, sponsorships, and long-term partnerships.

- Team Preparation: Ensuring the team has the resources and training necessary for a successful World Series campaign.

- Media and Promotion: A media campaign in Australia and ongoing blog coverage will highlight the team's journey and attract further support.

- Development of Rugby League: Connecting with Rugby League clubs across Australia to drive growth in Middle Eastern & African players.

The Dream:

The Nigeria Women's Rugby League team made history in November 2023 with their first-ever international match. Now, they have an incredible opportunity to compete in the 2025 World Series and potentially qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Your donation will play a pivotal role in making this dream a reality.

Why Donate?

This is a chance to be part of something truly special – supporting the growth of women's rugby league and empowering athletes on a global stage. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.

Thanks very much for the donations today and the push. We have this week secured a venue in Australia for a meet and greet event to invite interested parties in Sydney and the Nigerian/ Australian women to meet and learn more about the journey ahead. We have been in talks with Nigerian high commission in Canberra and the UK consulate in Sydney to support. Thanks and keep sharing
