Our pupils learn two instruments from 1st year and our musical instruments, particularly our guitars and keyboards, are in short supply with some desperately needing replaced with quality instruments.We want our pupils to use instruments which will inspire them to play for life!

A semi acoustic guitar will cost around £250 and a Keyboard around £180. We have three music classrooms where instruments are used all day every day. Our sponsored singathon- hill walk in September hopes to generate sponsorship monies from our pupils, and all funds raised will be shown here following the walk on the 28th. Pupils and their families are welcome to join us.

Our pupils in Boclair Academy are extremely talented and deserve top quality resources. Our concerts allow our pupils to shine, and showcase a wealth of talent. However, the school budget has struggled to maintain the level of investment required, over and above investment in technology resources in our department, which are also very expensive.

Our crowdfunding page and sponsored hill walk will allow us to purchase and replace instruments in all 3 classrooms. Pupils gain performing experience throughout their school life, building confidence and self esteem. Please look at our Music Department blog for further details.
