Story
Blyth Cricket and Rugby Club have been providing sporting opportunities to members of the local community at their Plessey Road home for more than 100 years. Throughout the years, the Club and its ground have been maintained by its many volunteers. There are times unfortunately, where the good will and endeavour of its members and volunteers is not enough.
The current boiler and heating system has for some time been patched up and maintained by the Clubs members. Despite their best efforts, however, the heating system has now failed beyond economical repair and completely broken down.
This has caused a complete loss of heating and hot water throughout the Club, including in the showers and kitchen.
The works to repair this will come to around £20000, which is a massive financial undertaking for a Club of our size. This is why we are reaching out to our members, players, former players and friends of all sections to help us reach our target and allow us to carry out the works required. Without this replacement system, we are at real risk of not going able to fulfil our commitments to the hundreds of people, young and old who use our Club.
