Good evening all. As you may have heard a good mate of ours and former blue Dan Birch and his wife Naomi have recently given birth to their beautiful little girl Ocean. To say the last few months have been tough is an understatement and Ocean has already shown the sort of fight that Birchy brings to the rugby field. Little Ocean was born 10 weeks prematurely and has undergone multiple surgeries so to show our support to Ocean and the Birch family we have decided to set ourselves the challenge of running 1000 miles as a team by March. Our main goal is to raise as much money as possible for the Ronald McDonald house in Cardiff, a place that Dan and Naomi have called home for the last 10 weeks. Due to covid this is the only place that allows them to be together and close enough to visit Ocean in the Neonatal intensive care unit at the Cardiff Heath hospital.

Now we've all missed a bit of competition since lockdown began almost a year ago so to raise as much money as possible we are challenging Milford Haven RFC, Merlins Bridge AFC and Crossfit Pembrokeshire to see which club can knock out the most mileage and more importantly raise the most money. We have set up our just giving page and Strava group to keep track so please follow them both and donate any money to this great cause. Considering one club is full of fitness models, another is the best team in West Wales and the other play in red and white ;) we have given ourselves a day head start so catch us if you can. Our total is set at £500 due to the fact that the house costs £25 per night so if the other clubs involved can also raise the same amount that would house Dan and his family for an amazing 12 weeks.

UPDATE: Following the amazing support we have received so far, we have updated our target to £4200. This would cover the cost of a room at the Ronald McDonald Foundation, Cardiff House for 6 months!!!
