Today saw the circle of Rutland Round completed. It’s become known in our books as ‘Skylark Walk’ as we heard so many. It was definitely the hottest far and thankfully the shortest with only just over 8 miles between Braunston and Uppingham. A real sense of achievement and absolutely amazed by the sponsorship we’re receiving in support of Uppingham in Bloom - thank so much!

Day 4 completed today - circa 17 miles and hottest day yet walking from Market Overton to Braunston with amazing views of the Vale of Catmose down into Oakham via Langham and out to Egleton and then over to Brooke. Lots of bean fields in flower with a lovely fragrance. Only 200 metres on the road near Brooke was ‘interesting’ with the traffic hurtling through. Arrived in Braunston hot and sticky and aching legs. Just a day to go now.
