Make a Difference This Christmas

I love coming up with ideas for my bridal boutique window displays, and it makes my heart sing when people comment how much they love and enjoy them too.

So this Christmas I wanted to do something a little bit different, and design a window display that I could use to help give something back to the local community.

This year I am proud to announce that I will be supporting DISC Newquay with their Christmas Toy Appeal.

DISC Newquay helps the most vulnerable by providing free food, clothing, help with heating costs, housing, debt, and mental health. Their support in invaluable and everyone that helps are unpaid volunteers.

My idea is to use the Santa’s sleigh in my window display and try and fill it with chocolate selection boxes to go along side the gift parcels that DISC Newquay will be collecting and donating to so many families in need this Christmas.

Selection boxes can be donated here at Bliss Bridal Gowns on Nansledan, Newquay on a Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.00am until 5.00pm, from 22nd November until 14th December. For people that would love to donate but may not be able to get to the boutique, I have set up a Just Giving page where you can donate, and I can do the shopping for you.

I know Christmas is going to be a difficult time for us all this year with everyone try to navigate the increase of the cost of living. But even donating £1.00 will able me to purchase a selection box on your behalf and raise a smile to a child's face this Christmas.

Think back to how happy you were as a child to receive your selection box on Christmas day.

I would love to be able to donate 250 chocolate selection boxes to DISC Newquay. And to get the appeal underway, I will be donating the first 100 boxes.
