I'm seeking to raise £5,000 to promote a unique part of Black History by turning my book into a PhD by prior publication.

I have had the pleasure of researching and writing a unique history of a people, a war, and a legacy, which is an astounding blend of military, black, British, American, and Native American history. It revolves around the Colonial Marines, escapees from American slavery, who fought for the British Empire during the War of 1812.

This work is a unique contribution to the histography of the War of 1812, the progress of emancipation in the western hemisphere, British slavery and the abolition thereof.

People much wiser than I have encouraged me to submit this work, my enthusiasm for it, and my knowledge, to task of achieving a PhD by prior publication. This means my book would be considered as a PhD thesis I would have to defend in both its research methodology and the conclusions I reached, in the process making a significant contribution to the associated field of history. Those guiding me are confident my book matches these demands.

With the additional authority of a PhD, my ability to reach audiences via conferences, media, and commentary will be significantly increased.
