I've raised £1200 to enable the purchase of a Powerheart G5 Defibrillator for Bishopton Rugby Club

Bishopton Rugby are looking to raise £1,200, to enable the purchase a Powerheart G5 Defibrillator. We obviously hope that we never have to use this piece of equipment but in the unlikely event of an emergency, it could be the difference of life and death. With the new technology now available, defibrillator’s no longer require specialist training to use. We do have trained First Aiders but this equipment can be used by anyone, as the device tells the user what needs to be done and when.
Bishopton Rugby are a community amateur sports team that currently run multiple playing sections, covering ages from 5 years old to 55 and have close to 150 players actively participating in Rugby 5 days a week.
Through our partnership with the Matthew Seymour Memorial Trust and CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) over 200 people aged between 14 and 35 connected with Bishopton RFC have been tested for possible Cardiac issues. But with 12 young people a week Nationally dying through undiagnosed Cardiac issues, we are always looking for more ways to keep our Players safe.
Any contribution you can make to this potentially life saving piece of equipment would be gratefully accepted.
On behalf of all our players today and in the future, thank you for your help and support.
