We are the owners of the award-winning guest house CASA BELEZA - www.casabeleza.com - in Rio de Janeiro. Normally, we would be busy hosting tourists here Cidade Maravilhosa, but now we are now looking at how we can help poor families here in Rio, who have no work or income, nor savings.

I know that it is a difficult time for many of you, as all of our professional lives have been upturned, but even just a small amount of 5 USD or 5 Euros can go along way to help buy these basic necessities here in Rio. The money will buy basic food, cleaning products (there is a real need!), gas fuel for cooking and to purchase prescription medicines and diapers.

This is a small initiative with no overhead costs. We are using our intimate network of trusted employees, favela guides and community leaders to identify those in need and for distribution.

We hope the World will soon be in better in health, and that we can begin once again to share with travellers from all over the world our special corner of Rio de Janeiro.
