Story
Four (!) colleagues from the Environmental sector are heading to Poland with a van full of supplies for Ukrainian refugees. We need your support to help purchase additional supplies and assist with the cost of travel.
The unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russia has rapidly led to a humanitarian crisis, with millions of Ukranians and other nationalities living in Ukraine finding themselves displaced from their homes and desperately seeking shelter in neighbouring EU countries. As Ukraine’s neighbour, Poland is receiving the majority of refugees and is in great need of supplies to help provide comfort to these exhausted and frightened people who’ve had to pack their whole world into what they can carry.
We will be using these kindly donated funds to purchase the items most requested by the authorities, volunteers and charities on the ground in Poland. These include medical, food, clothing, bedding, baby items and practical essentials.
We‘ve already gratefully received donations from the following people / companies via another platform (now closed).
Tyler Grange, Scumble Goosie, Milanie Bett, Jonathan Berry, Lisa Campbell, Kay Geoghegan, Katherine Bubb, Jack Jewell and Leanne Deighton ❤️

3 years agoThank you all for your continued support! This trip would not have been possible without it. We returned to the UK on Monday 14th and we've been recovering and reflecting on the experience. There will be a short video diary shared at some point that captured our journey. Exciting news!! Van 2 is going back to Poland this week! Stuffed full of donated items, Becky and Nathan will hopefully be staying a few days to volunteer their time at the refugee centre in Lubycza Królewska. This second trip is being made possible by you! Please share!

3 years agoWe made it!! 1300 miles in three days was quite intense but we had a mission to complete and had blue skies all the way. We reached the refugee reception centre in Lubycza Królewska (a couple of miles from the Ukrainian border) at around 5pm, having set off from Leipzig in the morning. It was a very well organised operation with local emergency services and a big team of volunteers getting ready to accept another wave of incoming refugees at 2am Sunday morning. It was both a harrowing and heart warming experience that none of us will forget💙💛

3 years agoBonjour! Goededag! Gluten tag! We’re making good progress on day three of our trip. Van 2 arrived in Dover in the wee hours of Friday morning, but Becky and Nathan are troopers and still managed to make last night’s stop in Leizpig. We’ve travelled through France, Belgium, the Netherlands and are now most of the way through Germany, on our way to the Polish border. We are aiming to make it to the drop off centre in Lubycza Królewska by late afternoon. We are spotting other vans with aid and there’s a good sense of camaraderie among us.
