Bestway Group, whose family roots are firmly embedded in Pakistan appeals to provide support for the victims of the devastating floods thought to be the worst natural disaster to hit the country in recent memory.

These floods have left in their aftermath a trail of death and destruction. The numbers are stark:

- over 1,400 reported deaths and counting by every hour, more than 35% of these children

- more than 1.5 million houses and schools destroyed or badly damaged

- 8.3 million acres of farmland and over 750 thousand livestock have been destroyed in a country where the agricultural sector accounts for about a quarter of the economy.

With fundraising underway Bestway Group have acted quickly and are already on the ground deploying the $2.3 million raised to date as part of their ongoing commitment to help the victims of those impacted by the recent flooding.

The monies raised have been pledged to build homes (or shelters) for 5,000 families, provide usable water for more than 100,000 individuals and provide food and medical supplies to over 20,000 people. Our team are on the ground and starting to make progress as our appeal continues.
