Story

We are raising money to support Ben Perry, who was seriously injured whilst lending aid to a motorist on the motorway whilst off duty.

Ben was travelling along the M42 on Friday evening (9/3/18), when he came across a vehicle which had struck the central barrier. Ben stopped on the hardshoulder and offered assistance to the car driver. When Ben returned to his vehicle to fetch a kit from his boot - he was struck by a passing car and thrown into the carriageway.

He sustained life changing injuries and remain on hospital. He has undergone an initial round of surgery and has began his long road to recovery.

Ben is a special constable with West Mercia Police in the UK (Collar 39662), and is renowened for going that extra mile to provide support to his colleagues, friends, family and - as fridays incident shows, random strangers in need.

Funds raised will go to supporting Ben and his family adapt and provide financial support in his hour of need.
