Iʼve raised £490 to buy solar lighting for a school in Zambia for AIDS orphans
- Funded on Saturday, 22nd April 2017
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
My name is Ben Luck, a retired hospice chaplain. I am raising money for PIZZ, a school for AIDS orphans in Zambia, set up by a local nurse named Mrs. Sianga. In Zambia alone there are more than a million AIDS orphans, PIZZ school does a great job in caring for over 300 of these vulnerable children, helping to give them a future.
In May, as a volunteer with a small charity called Hands Around The World, I am visiting Pizz School. At present they have no lighting and have highlighted this as something which would make a big difference.
I am trying to raise £1000 for the purchase of solar lighting equipment, made by a firm in Wiltshire called Lights for Learning. I will then be taking the lights out, helping to install them, as well as working in the School for a month.
All donations are going towards the purchase of these lights and any help you can give would be fantastic and greatly appreciated.
With thanks,
Ben

I've never met you Ben and landed here purely by chance, but the work you and your fellow volunteers are doing is incredible. It's not much but I hope this helps you reach your goal.
