Please read : On behalf of Benjamin carpenter (Ben) and his amazing family! Ben is in the process of having an extension built into the family house, to accommodate space for the children with this he is wanting to create a Designated area (sensory room) To support the children’s needs. Bens 6 children are adopted and very much loved! A sensory room will help the children with sensory issues, developmental disabilities and learning difficulties. The room gives the children a special place to escape to and feel safe and secure in. With a room designed specifically for their needs, the children have control over what they want to interact with. For bens children it’s is a real must for there needs and a place of their own so they can experience the things we take for granted. All the children have shown improvements from sensory rooms however it would benefit and prove better if the children had the same environment at home to keep up there developments and socialisation! However the room obviously comes with a price of around £15.000+++! (Any other funds that are raised in addition to the above? Will allow us to invest in other equipment)Ben has 6 children, Jack 12, Ruby 9, Lilly 7, Joseph 4, Noah 3 and Jude 22 months old. All 6 children have a large range of additional / complex needs to name a few: Autism, Severe learning difficulties, mobility issues, Down’s syndrome, profound deafness, gastronomy care / fed, registered blind, epilepsy, stoma care, cerebral palsy, the list goes on. Aside of Ben caring for the children he volunteers his time as an adoption panel member finding families for the thousands of children that are in need of their forever families these may include children with additional/complex needs. Most people in UK and some world wide may be aware ben has done many media appearances to promote Adoption and its all joys (in bens opinion) He has featured on this morning, The One Show, Jane McDonald and friends, local news channels, and many newspaper and magazines. His story has somewhat inspired people worldwide and he has daily messages from people all over the world stating how Ben has inspired them to want To adopt a child (even a child with an additional/complex needs). He is a single gay dad and has had to overcome a lot of negative mindsets from the public. Ben goes about his daily life, caring for the children, back and forth from hospital and other appointment to ensue the children has everything they need! He goes above and beyond for all his children, they all have exactly the same love and attention! I have personally seen the children grow and develop into the children they are today! Ben goes above and further for his children and has surprised all medical professionals with how the children have developed given their bleak prognosis since they have been in bens care! They improve daily and have gone past goals Ben was told they ‘wont’ do! He never gives up! So the down side it is £15.000 +++ to build the amazing room and include all the interiors for the children!

*UPDATE* 18th november 2019 - On a sad note I’m here to inform you all that sadly yesterday (18th nov) at 3:30pm Noah (2years old) passed away! It’s had great impact on Ben and the children and Ben is doing his best to support the children with their emotions! Understandably ben need time to greave, thank you for the lovely messages. In memory of Noah Ben would like to create sensory garden for the children. Thank you!

*UPDATE 2/11/20* Hello all, Thank you to all Those who have donated already. It means so much. Honestly thank you form the bottom of my heart. As our extension is nearing completion, I thought I would give this page one last push. As you may have read? With Teddy’s Sudden passing, I decided to create a sensory garden (in lockdown) in his memory, also to help support the children’s individual grief (a place to go in their own personal environment And have a poor sensory experience (for those locally who have seen the garden? You will appreciate what I have created with The kind donations Already pledged. Aside of the money needed to help create a sensory room within our home, extra Funding is needed for additional Sensory functions within their specialist bath (supplied by the home adaptations team) the spa facility (with light therapy) will help the children not only with their sensory needs but for Louis will help with his muscle tension (due to his bilateral dystonic cerebral palsy) Louis is in constant pain from muscle tension. He also has brittle bone so the Soothing spa will help penetrate the heat into his bones. Louis is also blind (Responds to certain colours) the light and music function on this bath will indeed offer him a full sensory experience. Unfortunately the home adaptations team cannot Fund these additional functions Costing £2700. However I must stress that they have been simply wonderful supplying the children with medical equipment. If you could find you? Or someone you know? Could find it within your hearts To Be part of creating this wonderful area for the children. Then please click the link below, Once again thank you for all your help and support, Much love Ben and the kids Xxxx

If you can share this then that is love to you but if you can donate anything big or small then from my self (charlotte), Ben + family a massive massive thank you!! It would mean the absolutely world!! Thank you for reading!!

21/06/21 wow! We have reached a 15k target. however to inflation in costs since the two years we obtained the original quote. Given the change in the childrens needs. (Needing more relivent equiptment to support their needs) unfotunatly this means the room will cost more than origanly planed.

Once again thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

    🥰⭐️❤️

Please be assured that any money that is currently being raised over the orriginal £15,000 +++ will indeed benefit the children and their needs even more. any further donations that may come in? Will further benefit the children with specialist equipment ECT (above and beyond that of occupational therapists capabilities)

as you can appreciate sensory, medical, equipment that support disabilities, indeed cost a lot of money so any extra funds raised can be put to future progects like this. Or indeed projects that will support the children and their indvidual needs..... I may be able to orginise (if enough fund are left over?) to orginise a dream inclusive vacation to disney land florida ( when safe to do) inknow the children would adore this (A dream come true) who knows? Xxx
