Hi everybody, firstly thank you very much for even clicking on this link. We never though we would have to do this but we know when to ask for help.

Nacho our little 1.5yr old Chiuhuahua was taken seriously ill on Wednesday the 13th of September. After observations at our local vet he had to undergo emergency surgery.

He has now been transfered into intensive care fighting a severe case of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. He is currently fighting the best he can, he is expected to stay in care for 5 - 10 days. However he has a good chance of pulling through if the aggressive treatment he is currently on continues.

He is insured but the insurance limit was already passed in the first 24hrs. We personally and close family have already put in all our savings and any form of credit we have towards his prolonged treatment. However we still need help as his current care is costing between £1200 and £1500 every 24 hours which has to be paid upfront daily.

He means more to us than anything in the world and the thought of money getting in the way of him coming home and living a full healthy life is heartbreaking and we are going to try every possible avenue to make sure our baby comes home, even if that means asking for help.

We would like to make people aware that this can be common in small young breeds, it comes on very quickly and aggressively. His symptoms in the first 12 hour were diarrhoea and sickness, eventually followed by projectile blood with bowel movements. Please do your research if you have fur babies and contact a vet immediately if you suspect they are suffering from this condition.
