    Story

    https://www.bemorejosie.org/

Be More Josie is a Kenyan based school feeding program, begun in 2024, by Annie Kelly following a trip to Molo, Kenya to visit friends David and Janet Ngetich and their 5 children.

David and Janet’s 3 youngest children attend Kirantich primary school; where a vast number of the 160 pupils attending may have only a flask of black tea to sustain them all day.

Some of these children may walk up to 2 hours a day to attend school.

Annie felt compelled to get a feeding program started in the school, providing the children with breakfast and lunch.

The charity is founded in honour of Annie’s middle daughter Josie, who was a primary school teacher abroad; and tragically died at the age of 25 in 2019.

We are in the process of applying for UK charity status.
