Following on from a petition which was set up by Izabel Lightfoot - 11 years old. She secured over 100 signatures and took it to the Parish Council to request for funds to purchase some Christmas Lights within the village, her aim is to rival our neighboring village Epworth! So we are very excited to have now set up a committee and secured a little funding from the Parish Council to get us started with some Christmas Lights in the village and are forming a recognised charity to provide yearly lights, a tree and events based on a switch on and Christmas Eve for the community., Last year we had a virtual switch on at the All Saints Centre. This year we want it to be bigger and better than ever with Lights all down High Street and Church Town, a event for switch on including a Christmas Market, entertainment, santa and evening entertainment provided by The Crown with Mulled wine! Also a Christmas Eve event around the tree! The lights will be solar lights and environmentally friendly!! We are securing funding but need your help to get this started!!!
