Story

I’m Becky and this is my best friend Krista. We have been best friends since primary school. I love this lady so much, I wouldn’t be without her!

Krista was first diagnosed with stage 3 triple positive breast cancer in May 2023. Following her diagnosis, she has been a true inspiration, taking everything in her stride and still continuing to go about normal life as a wife and mum aswell as working when possible.

So far she has undergone 13 rounds of chemotherapy along with 2 weeks of radiotherapy in Southampton. She now has 7 rounds of chemo remaining.

During Krista’s treatment, she and her family have had the support of a local charity, The Pink Ladies. Their support has been incredible and your kind donations makes these hard times that little bit easier. I’ve now seen first hand how grateful a family is in receiving their assistance . Because of this, I have made the decision, as my way of showing my support, that I’m going to shave my head to raise money towards The Pink Ladies. A charity of Kristas choice, along with a proportion of the raised money to go towards Kristas cousin Connors, rehabilitation treatment after a devastating accident left him paralyzed from the waist down. Connor would also like to show his support to Krista and will be having his head shaved too. That isn't all, Kristas incredible daughter Brooke will also be getting her long hair chopped on the night and both Jason (Becky's husband) and Ade (Krista's husband) are having their chests waxed.

So please help us to raise as much as possible, £1000 is the goal and I’ll get the clippers out on 8th June! We are absolutely overwhelmed we have achieved our goal. So it is happening but have set a new target of £2500.
