Hi - As you know, thanks to you, new street trees have been planted along Sperling Road and The Avenue. The children of Bruce Grove primary school were involved with the planting and were watering the trees, however of course they are now at home and unable to do this. If you live on Sperling or The Avenue, if possible please use some of your daily exercise giving them a drink in this warm weather. All of the trees have a plastic pipe in the ground through which you can do this. Many thanks Catherine

Thanks to everyone who donated to pay for 8 new street trees in Bruce Grove. Four were planted in November on Sperling Rd near the BG primary school and another three have been planted on The Avenue close to the junction with Mount Pleasant. One more is to be planted, I think on Moorefield Rd but the council will have the final decision on location based on permission from residents and scans for underground infrastructure. Thanks again everyone. This meant a lot to all involved.

Hello, thanks again for your contribution to Beautiful Bruce Grove's fund for street trees. As you know, we have £800 from the Tree Council to plant trees, involving local children in the process. We had to raise another £200 to plant four trees in total. We have raised this and more, so we have almost enough for six trees. We are collaborating with Haringey Council and the Bruce Grove primary school on this project. We have made progress with tree locations. I will post a detailed update on BGRN and BBG Facebook pages shortly.
