Story
Here at Beaumont Manor Care Home we are always striving to improve the life's of our residents and our challenge this year is to raise the funds required to purchase a Mobii Magic Table.
Mick Curnick (Kate's husband) is completing the challenging task of climbing two mountains in Scotland in January 2022, Bidean Nam Bian, part of Three Sisters, Glenoce which is 1150 metres high and Ben Nevis which is 1345 metres high.
The Mobii Magic table was awarded the National Dementia Care Outstanding Product Award in 2018 and brings so many opportunities to residents with all stages of dementia. It is a fully portable interactive table that can be taken to wherever it is needed and provides a wide range of activities to be enjoyed by groups and individuals. It is a truly person centred activity to be enjoyed by everyone and offers benefits of emotional stability, positive mood, physical effort, social involvement as well the ability to be shared and enjoyed.

3 years agoA heartfelt thank you for all of your words of support for Mick whilst he was completing his three climbs and we are delighted to announce that we have hit our target of £1,000. These amazing donations are so appreciated and will help us towards our overall target of £7,000 to purchase Magic Tables for the residents of Beaumont Manor to use and benefit from. Thank you from Mick and the Beaumont Manor Team x

3 years agoOur intrepid climber Mick started the drive back south today from Ben Nevis but due to the generosity of your donations he has decided to stop over in the Lake District and tomorrow will be going for one final climb of Helvellyn Mountain. The climb will be 950 metres and he will be traversing the mountain via Striding Edge and will descend via the Swirral Edge. Good luck on your final climb Mick, we're all behind you.

3 years agoGreat news Mick has achieved the summit at Ben Nevis having navigated 1344 metres to get there! Weather conditions were so much better today when starting out with the temperatures being higher and snow was melting at lower levels. As reaching the summit the weather conditions worsened, with sleet, snow and hailstones and getting cold. Thank you for your ongoing support and I have decided to rest tomorrow but if we can raise some more funds I will try to go for another climb by Sunday, dependant on weather conditions.
