Story
Basford United FC & the Junior Section CIC are very active member of our Community. One of our own Alan McCarty sadly passed away recently. Alan was an Basford United season ticket holder but more important than this over a vast period stemming over 40 years Alan actively Committed time, coaching for Youth Football for the likes of Parkhead FC who were renowned as the top Junior Football club in the late 70s & early 80s.
We would like to honor Alans memory and the memory of those connected or supporters of the club and local football so we seek donations to to go towards sourcing a suitable bench that we will engrave with the names of all.
Just confirming Basford CFC CIC is a Non-Profit Organisation and totally separate to Basford United 1st team Limited. No funds raised will ever find their way to the 1st team and this is not permitted by the rules of our Articles of Basford CFC - Companies House number 09925082.

4 years agoThank you so much for all the kind donations so far, it is really touching and all at our Basford CFC Junior section should be delighted at the support shown. We also wish to make a sizeable donation to Mind Charity and it would be brilliant if we could donate £1000 too them. Please help us achieve this target, so far we are at £260 ie 50% of the current pledges that we can donate to them and we are sure the goodwill of all will help us get to that target figure. Thanks Again
