Story

Along with 7 other participants from the legal and insurance world, I am taking part in the David Goggins 4x4x48 running Challenge from Thursday 27th - Saturday 29th May, to raise money for three charities and causes; The Spinal Injury Association, Fans Supporting Foodbanks and Brain Tumour Research.

The Spinal Injury Association, is the leading user-led charity providing information and key services to spinal cord injured people, Fans Supporting Foodbanks, is a joint initiative between rival Liverpool F.C. and Everton F.C. supporters, founded in 2015 to tackle food poverty in Liverpool, and Brain Tumour Research who are dedicated to funding scientific research into brain tumours, whilst campaigning for more national investment into this research.

We became inspired and joined forces to take on the challenge created by ex-navy seal and famous American Ultramarathon runner David Goggins, following the second official annual event held in March this year. Beginning at 4pm on Thursday 27th May we will continue to run 4 miles every 4 hours until their final run at noon on Saturday 29th May.

Running has always been so beneficial to me, especially throughout the pandemic and national lockdowns and I know being active and outdoors has helped a lot of our team within Kuro Health.

The event is going to be both mentally and physically challenging, especially those 4am miles, but with the support of the guys taking part and everyone cheering us on in the background, not to mention the charities we’re raising funds for, I know we’ll succeed.
