I've raised £500 to Replace charity money and toy donations stolen when our town centre office was broken into on 7th Dec 2024

We are heartbroken to share that our town centre office was broken into overnight on Saturday 7th December.
Barrow BID is a not for profit organisation, run by volunteer business owners who are committed to supporting our town centre.
This break in has caused significant pressure for our team, diverting vital resources away from the important work we do in our town over the festive period - a vital time for so many of our businesses.
The crime has caused damage to our property and to the space that our team relies on to work. Several pieces of equipment were stolen, as well as charitable donations from a recent event and both toys and chocolates donated to us from local businesses to support our upcoming Christmas events. This directly impacts our ability to serve the community effectively in the coming weeks.
Our team is working hard to assess the full extent of the loss and to implement temporary solutions so we can continue supporting those who rely on us.
In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult situation.
Should you have any information relating to this crime, we would kindly encourage you to contact Cumbria Constabulary directly to support their ongoing investigation.
This setback will not define us - we remain committed to making a difference. Our remaining Christmas events will still be going ahead as planned. Thank you for standing by us during this challenging time. 💙
Jenny Fazackerley - Chair, Barrow BID
Following a number of individuals and local businesses approaching us with offers of support, we have set up this funding page for anyone kindly wishing to support us to replace the charitable cash donations and toy donations which were stolen during the break in.
