I have a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Sydrome plus other health issues such as osteoporosis. Because of these disabilities my mobility has been affected greatly. As a result I use an electric mobility scooter which enables me to get out and about. Retaining my independence is paramount. Not just with ordinary daily issues like shopping but it also means I can fully participate and be included in the many campaigns I support.
Unfortunately because of a power problem the batteries for the scooter severely overheated whilst charging to a dangerous level and its charger failed to cut out. Resulting in both the charger and batteries becoming unusable and unsafe. Meaning I can't use my scooter.
So I've set up this fund to ask for a little help towards replacing both the batteries and charger. Having my scooter means the world to me, being without it greatly affects my quality of life. With it and with your help I can carry on with daily life and continue with my campaigning, for Disability rights with groups like DPAC and with my political campaign work.
By helping me you will also be helping other disability groups as the interest with go to disabled charities.
