My name is Barbara, I am 24 years old and would like to share my story with you.
I had a car accident on 11-11-2016. I have suffered a major spinal injury as a result of it and was taken to A&E. My legs have been paralyzed from hip to toe and my internal organs also do not work properly. My rehabilitation involved physiotherapy and relearning basic daily activities such as sitting, cleaning myself, dressing or tieing my shoe lace. I am able to move my legs a tiny bit by now but it is still not enough to stand or walk. According to the doctors, I will never walk again and have to spend my entire life in a wheelchair. There is a trial treatment available what could improve my life quality and would give me some hope for a better future. The neuro hospital is located in a Hungarian town called Sopron, and the name of the doctor who would carry out the one-year treatment is Judit Málly. However, it is very expensive and I can not afford to pay for it by myself. If the required amount of donation accumulated, I could start the treatment in August 2017. I would like to thank everyone who is able to help me in this very difficult situation. I also appreciate if you could share this information with others.
