    Story

We are passionate about providing access for all, particularly those who might not normally get the chance to enjoy the countryside.

To this end, we raising funds to enhance community access to our new project, Badgers Food Forest, near Penzance, Cornwall, UK.

All money raised from this campaign will:

    1) Improve safe access to the site throughout the year for vehicles by providing suitable all-weather surfacing for the entrance and parking area

    2) Contribute towards a disabled-access compost toilet and community tool shed, with adjoining covered area for shelter

    3) Provide well-designed paths and seating near to the parking area for less mobile visitors

    4) Provide sponsored growing plots for growers on low incomes from 2024 onwards

    5) Help fund the creation of three wildlife ponds that will provide habitat for a wide range of flora and fauna - the first of these will be in the most accessible area for the enjoyment of visitors, including wheelchair users

All of the above project activities will be implemented by volunteers wherever possible, meaning that every penny of money raised will contribute directly towards essential project outlays such as contractors and materials. .

Thanks for your generous donations so far - BFF is gathering momentum and support by the day! Our planning application for improving access and installing our wheel-chair accessible facilities is with the council - fingers crossed that we'll be approved :) To help this along, we'd be super-grateful if you could post a message of support on the Cornwall Council planning portal (reference is PA23/09147). Please continue to share this page and spread the word! Heart-felt thanks, Gavin, Treve and our growing BFF team.
