I'm raising £750 for Back and Forth Mens Mental Health

I founded the charity, Back and Forth Mens Mental Health in October 2023, to tackle the stigma of men talking about their well-being.

A supporter of our cause, Steve, had kindly offered to raise money for our cause and this his story……..

Hi, I am 54 years old with two incredible children of my own , I also have two fantastic boys and two granddaughters through marriage to my wife Vicky. I currently work in logistics for ASDA where I am a department manager , this follows a twenty seven year career in the betting industry .. there have been many things that have tested my resolve and question life - bereavement , career change , relationship , finances , age etc but the one thing that I have been blessed with is the loyalty and friendship I have earned through football , early years following Leicester City and for the last thirty five years becoming heavily involved with Lincoln City. I have a huge interest in the 80s , dance music and LEGO also keep things aligned. I want you guys to understand that I am one of the lucky ones , there are many that are silently suffering alone with no outlet , no voice , no guidance or support , that is why Back & Forth needs to grow , needs to succeed. I have no doubts that it will.

My current personal journey is surrounding fitness and in particular running , I could not run for a bus four years ago yet this year I have completed several 10K road races with the aim of running further and with that in mind I have entered the Great Yarmouth Half Marathon next March and it would be a great honour to use this to help raise funds and awareness for Back & Forth …
