Hello, we are Baby Box IOW. We are a local community project, run by volunteers to help families who are struggling to provide essentials for their babies and children.

We provide nappies, baby toiletries, food, milk, clothes, toys and other equipment to island families in need. We are normally open every Friday in Ventnor throughout the year.

We are only able to help island children because of the kindness and generosity of our island community.

However we are finding it difficult at the moment to provide all the basic essentials each week, such as nappies, wipes, baby food and milk formula. During the lockdown we are not getting many donations so we would really appreciate any monetary donations to purchase these items.

Where we previously met the needs of 22 local families with essential supplies just as the Covid-19 lockdown was imposed, the numbers of families we help now has almost doubled in the last few weeks.

The money we need now is to help us continue to help Babybox families in this incredibly difficult time where families on low incomes will struggle to find the provisions they need for their babies and little ones at all and are going to find themselves joined by families who have newly discovered how precarious their financial situation is.

We would like to be able to help more families on the island with your donations. Just £2 would enable us to buy 4 packs of baby wipes, £4 would provide a pack of nappies. A donation of £6 would enable us to buy 12 jars of baby food!
