Story

Hi! My husband and I owned 6 guinea pigs (5 rescues) since 2013, unfortunately due to old age and some illness over the last couple of years we have lost all of our piggies. In memory of our beautiful boys that we have lost, we want to raise money in their name for small local charity who do wonderful work rescuing guinea pigs without homes, taking care of them and finding them suitable new homes.

Myself and my husband (and our springer spaniel Phoebe) will be doing a sponsored walk on the 1st of June this year (the date we got our very first rescue pigs). We're doing a minimum of 9 miles at Chatelherault Country Park.

If you could sponsor us to do the walk, it would be absolutely fantastic. Thank you so very much, it really means the world.

The charity is Ayr's Guinea Pig Rescue and Rehoming Centre, a very small charity who do wonderful work for these animals run by volunteers and the owners, people who put their love and dedication into taking care of these amazing animals. The charity is so small that they don't have a just giving page, but everything you donate through this page will be given directly to them.

Elizabeth (she gets to be in there even though she's a hamster because we lost her last year, our dear little lady, below)

And Mackem (our last and beloved old man who passed recently).

We love you all, our beautiful furbabies.

(Please note: I do have chronic physical illness, if I am too unwell on the 1st of June, I WILL complete the walk the weekend after.)
