Iʼm raising £1,500 to raise awareness of Autism, Neurodiversity, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in The Gambia.

Story

I'm raising £1,500 to fund the trip over to The Gambia with a Mission Team. My role will be to do some training and resource teachers and community hubs about autism and other conditions.

I will be joining the team from the charity Gambian Projects Overseas, who are organising the group that will be going out in January.

As part of Alma Autism's mission, to spread awareness and acceptance of Autism to all people, this would be one more step of going to those who otherwise wouldn't hear about it or receive the tools and training to support and teach their own children.

During the trip, we will also be looking at the possibility of setting up a sustainable sensory room in the schools that Gambian Projects Overseas has already built.
