Hi everyone

I was in a local supermarket the other night and there was a little kid about 10 or 11 in front of me at the tills who looked a little bit dejected, pale, dirty clothes holding some microchips and a bank card that wouldn’t work. With no other way to pay, he was going to leave what was probably his tea behind, so I paid for them, and it got me thinking.

There are probably loads of kids like this wee lad who will get nothing this Christmas, for whatever the reason, and that is rubbish. No wee one should get nothing from Santa 🎅

So, today, I am launching………🎄‘Give a kid a quid’ 🎄

I know it’s been a hard year for many people, but I am asking all of you to give whatever you can from a pound upwards to help local kids have a Christmas to remember not another one to forget.

Every penny of the money collected will be turned into vouchers for local shop ‘Toy Junction’ so kids can go and pick a toy they want from Santa.

I am also asking you ALL to share this with your friends, your colleagues, your bosses, other local businesses, other pubs and restaurants, shops and cafes.

To start the ball rolling myself, Lisa, Grace and Michael are going to put in £100.00 but Christmas will soon be upon us so please act quickly and hopefully we can help as many kids as possible.

It’s not about me or the auld Hoose, or publicity or anything else, it’s about making sure that local kids get to enjoy the magic of Christmas whatever their circumstances.
